I don't have to tell you how overwhelming anxiety is if you experience it, but today let's talk about one "type" of anxiety, Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD).

There are a few categories of anxiety. These include Separation Anxiety, Selective Mutism, Specific Phobia, Social Anxiety, Panic Disorder (or Anxiety Attacks), Agoraphobia, and Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD).

Generalized Anxiety Disorder involves anxiety and worry that is frequently present on most days of the week. People with GAD find it difficult to control the feelings of worry and suffer from some of the following symptoms many days each week:

  1. Feeling on edge or feeling restlessness

  2. Feeling fatigue

  3. Having trouble concentrating

  4. Irritability

  5. Muscle tension
