Quick Techniques to Declutter Your Mind and Manage Anxiety!

We are continuously overwhelmed with millions of responsibilities, problems, tasks, and to-dos. It is easy to become overwhelmed and feel stuck. Check out these techniques to declutter your mind, manage anxiety, and manage problems.

1. Do a "BRAIN DUMP"

A brain dump is writing down all the things that are on your mind. Whether it is thoughts and ideas, to-do lists, or worries. It takes mental energy to leave your to-do list in your head. Once you put it on paper, you no longer have to remind yourself of the tasks you need to complete. Give it a try!

2. Jumpstart Your Plans

Whether it's a job project, work assignment, or errands, start now rather than later. Procrastinating or leaving the task for later can cause more stress or will take up space in your head. 

3. Problem-Solve

Many situations have solutions. They may not be easy to attain, but there is a solution. Depending on what problem you encounter, make a plan to find a solution. On a piece of paper or your journal state the problem, write the possible solutions, and how you plan to implement it. Schedule the small steps you need to take to solve the problem. 

4. Journal or Talk to a Supportive  Friend/Family

Expressing your emotions and thoughts is very important to declutter your mind and ease stress. Talk to a friend or a family member that you can trust and is a good listener.  

5. Exercise

Lastly, exercise. You have expressed the problem and written a plan to find a solution, now help yourself cope with the stress by exercising. I probably have mentioned it in 90 percent of my blog posts, but exercising is fantastic for health and mental health.
